La consultation débute par une anamnèse en partant par la plainte principale du patient pour remonter jusqu'à la lésion ostéopathique impliquées dans son problème. Cela permettra à l'ostéopathe d'élaborer un traitement adéquat.

L'ostéopathie est généralement prise en charge par l'assurance maladie complémentaire (médecine naturelle, médecine douce) sans prescription médicale. Le type de prise en charge dépend de votre assurance.
L'ostéopathie est un complément à la médecine allopathique et ne se substitue pas à celle ci.
